Cyberattacks no longer target only big corporations. Small and medium businesses are now frequent targets because attackers expect weaker defenses. The good news: you can find and fix your weak spots before anyone else does. Two of the most effective ways are a vulnerability assessment and a penetration test. They sound similar, but they do very different jobs.
What Is a Vulnerability Assessment?
A vulnerability assessment is a broad health check of your IT systems. Our security team scans your servers, computers, network devices, websites, and applications for known weaknesses, such as outdated software, missing patches, weak passwords, and misconfigured settings.
You receive a clear report that lists every issue found, ranks it by risk level, and explains how to fix it.
Best for:
- Getting a full picture of your security status
- Regular checks (quarterly or after major changes)
- Businesses starting their cybersecurity journey
What Is Penetration Testing?
Penetration testing (or “pen testing”) goes one step further. Instead of just listing weaknesses, our ethical hackers try to actively exploit them, just like a real attacker would, but safely and with your permission.
The goal is to answer one critical question: How far could an attacker actually get? Could they access customer data? Take over an admin account? Move from one system to another?
Best for:
- Testing how strong your defenses really are
- Websites, apps, and systems that handle sensitive data or payments
- Meeting client, partner, or compliance requirements
